The British Virgin Islands<\/a> Painkiller cocktail is one of the most iconic drinks in the Caribbean. If you have visited the BVI, it is likely you tried one for yourself either on the shores of Soggy Dollar Bar<\/a>, where the cocktail was invented, or on any one of the 60 islands, islets, and atolls that make up the British Virgin Islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the original Painkiller recipe remains a secret, Pusser\u2019s Rum<\/a> founder Charles Tobias developed a recipe to match the original flavor profile. Fortunately for all, that recipe is simple enough to make at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Iconic Pusser\u2019s Painkiller<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • 2 oz. Pusser\u2019s Rum<\/li>
  • 4 oz. pineapple juice1 oz. orange juice<\/li>
  • 1 oz. cream of coconut<\/li>
  • Freshly grated nutmeg<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Recipe:<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Fill cocktail shaker with liquid ingredients and shake vigorously<\/li>
    • Pour into a goblet filled with ice<\/li>
    • Grate fresh nutmeg on top<\/li>
